Controller

 iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a qualified professional to join our Accounting Department as a Controller. iSuite is a part of the IMI Companies with offices in Granite City, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Nashville, TN. IMI companies are nationally recognized Mechanical Contracting, Engineering, and Controls companies that perform work in over 30 states with over $300 million in yearly revenue.

We are currently looking for a Controller to join our Accounting Department in our Granite City, IL headquarters. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the construction industry or construction audit. This candidate should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and thrive in an adaptable and collaborative environment.

Primary responsibilities for iSuite’s Controller position include:

 ·         Assisting in leading the accounting team, providing guidance and supervision to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

·         Implementing and maintaining financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

·         Analyzing financial data, including profitability, cash flow, and financial ratios, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management to support decision-making and drive financial performance.

·         Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including management reports, work in progress reports, financial statements, tax filings, and other regulatory filings.

·         Coordinating accounting reviews, annual audits, and tax returns with external auditors.

·         Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to streamline financial operations and increase efficiency.

Primary Qualifications for iSuite’s Controller position include:

 ·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is a plus but not required.

·         A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

·         Experience in the construction or contracting industry is highly preferred.

·         Experience with preparation of work in progress reports is highly preferred.

·         Displaying a strong attention to detail while having the ability to make quick and informed decisions.

·         Possessing exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work within an environment with deadlines, and when tasked with multiple

duties your attention to detail stays consistent.

·         Always remain mindful of sensitive information.

·         Working with others within the organization with a positive, helpful attitude; taking ownership of the role and seeking ways to improve processes.

·         Demonstrated experience working in a Union construction environment is a plus!

·         Experience with Vista by Viewpoint software is a plus!
